Can't connect screen mirroring or wifi direct with my phone sony kd 55a85 tv

Bought last year (2022) sony kd 55a85 tv and want it now connect samsung dex wirelessly through phone just find it impossible try to look options and find out that sony don't have screen mirroring on tv's after 2020.... my head already overheated can't find way..

Please can any one recommend any possible way to connect phone with tv..?

Any android phone can be mirrored to an android TV via the Google home app (or even better via casting directly from any app supporting it I.e. Google  photo for sharing media). Miracast is not supported anymore so Dex specific features won't be available, btw miracast was always a flakey "standard" that didn't work 50% of the times

Do you know maybe it can be connected thru WiFi direct..?

Thanks for suggestions, but thru Google home you have option only to go via Google photos..

It don't give option stream straight from phone..

Like spread sheet or other stuff..

Thanks for help, don't know but struggling to connect this WiFi direct it ask me on tv accept phone i press accept but it give me another window says accept phone press accept and than another until nothing happens..

And chromecast it's only thru chorome or YouTube but if you want something stream directly from phone than no option.. my Samsung s23 ultra  phone have only option for that smart view,or other option is dex

Via Google home app you can mirror the entire screen of your phone https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/6059461?hl=it   (this is in Italian but you can find the English equivalent)

A lot of other apps have  a direct casting feature not only photo but surely excel doesn't and you need casting the entire screen.

Yes, Thanks, it mirror phone screen thru Google home app i just looking completely wrong place .. try to go thru tv and it not give me any option apart Google ones but on the bottom find small icon for that connect mirror phone.. I feel like idiot  looking same place lots of times and can't figure out..

Just can't find way connect samsung dex ..

That's only problem but still better than nothing..

Maybe have to get cable for it..

Yea the placement of the icons can be tricky from time to time, you just gonna look at the right place without giving up XD, but glad it finally did work, cheers.
