Hi,
I'm trying to enter my Wifi password into my TV but I only have the remote it came with.
How do I enter letters? If I press a number multiple times or hold the number, I get lots of numbers.
How can I switch to letters?
Thanks

I had to set up the virtual keyboard in Settings, and I disabled the Google Voice Typing keyboard while I was at it.
The instructions on the screen says "While the password text entry field is active, press the + button on your remote control to enter your password" (+ here is the symbol in the middle of the round bit).
Well I pressed it and the text got bolder, and back to normal when I let go.
Then what? How does that help me enter a password?
A video on Youtube says that pressing this button should bring up the on-screen keyboard.
It doesn't, but I do get a message that says "Google Voice Typing cannot be used for this field".
I didn't even know there was such a thing. How can I fix this? Do I need to disable "Google Voice Typing"?

I don’t see anywhere to set up a virtual keyboard, can anyone advise please. I can’t see anything on my remote where I can enter text and I need to enter my WiFi pin.
Usually, it should be as simple as pressing Home, navigating to Settings then selecting the Keyboard section.
If this doesn't fit your specific model, could be using the newer Pie menu, which is very similar, the Keyboard section is under Device Preferences.
