Picked up a KD49xh9505 this week. Satellite channels were found and saved ok. Tried to scan in analogue Irish TV channels from the aerial but 0 found. When plugged into set top box (Sab Triple Tuner HD)they are received ok. Tried a factory reset but still the same outcome. Just thought it would be more convenient to have one remote for All. Should i just stick with set top box going through hdmi 1, read somewhere that for each channel tuned in, picture settings etc would be different. Just baffled why it wont scan in from aerial for rte, Virgin channels. Have it connected through the push on connection next to double sat connectors.
Hi @sambany Sorry I don’t know about Irish analogue TV channels from they stopped broadcasting in the U.K. ages ago, in 2012 I believe. Are you sure you mean analogue channels and not terrestrial digital channels?
Thanks for your reply. Yes it's digital terrestrial from the aerial that I want to scan into the set. What threw me is the existing fitting only plugs into the analogue port on the back of the set. Looks like I need to change the fitting to the screw type and place next to the main sat connector. Only three options for connecting tuner cables, 2 sat (screw type) and 1 analogue?? (push fit) Any thoughts on different channels and picture settings or just sticking with a hdmi and set top box feed.
It's a push fit coax connector which I connected on the extreme left por( looking at setup diag). Is this the correct input for external aerial.
Yes it is the correct input (Coax Connector) but when you scan for channels scan for "Digital" channels NOT "Analogue".
Yes, that worked scanning by digital. Thanks all for your input. Great TV very happy with it. 👍
