No update for March
New to Android TVs, but I thought there was a monthly update. Is this not the case?

The updates are not monthly, they're mainly based on bug fixes and improvements, I honestly haven't recognized a pattern.

That's not very good then, the reason I was happy to buy and Android TV was that looking at the update frequency the updates were frequent. This is important as it also delivers security updates, which is something that needs to be delivered on a regular basis.

Security updates are not as crucial for TVs since they don't hold much information if at all, and you can easily avoid using dodgy apps and such.
I do get your point, that's just how it is at the moment though, there's no clear pattern to the updates as far as I can tell.
Hope this helps!

As a security consultant, I can tell you that you are very wrong. Any smart device not properly secured can be used to gain further access into the internal network.

Oh my apologies! I was not claiming otherwise, and to be honest I wasn't even considering it as a means to an end, but more of a target.
Thank you for the clarification nonetheless!

I hope you are running your TV in a dual-firewalled DMZ?
