Since the lastest firmware I keep getting a pop up on screen with 3D movies in the bottom left hand side.
"Screen Format: Full" this is of course say it is using full pixel but it should not keep showing!
I cannot seem to find a way to disable this notification. It makes 3D useless as it keeps popping up! I even tried a factory reset to no avail.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Latest update has fixed Screen Format: Full pop-up for me too.

But breaks auto picture mode. Now it stays locked to the last known setting. So if I choose PS4, it will switch to game mode. But if I switch to Sky it stays locked on game mode.
update loaded and i can confirm it works with my 65" tv
finally !

Can you check auto picture mode as above?
The problem with the locked picture mode was also reported with the EU/Ireland firmware last month, but apparently Sony chose to ignore the problem.
Hi all,
While we're on, does anyone mind sharing their 3D settings?
As well as the pop up issue I always felt my set looked a little iffy.
The Hobbit for example looks pretty unpleasant when things got dark.
Even basic settings would be a good help.

i think the answer is yes.........i changed the picture mode to auto (plus 24hz) for the bluray 3d gravity - when i stopped this and went back to regular tv - it stayed in cinema mode - is tis what you mean by locked ?
I have left it is standard mode now
Hey Conor!

Thank you Will this work for 3D? My 2D settings are fine.

Yup, that is exactly what I meant. I noticed this in the last EU firmware and reported it. However Sony ignored it as I am in the UK. Thanks for confirming, anyone else see this? I am being asked for more people to back it up.
