Want clock to appear on TV screeen

Hi

Just inherited my brother’s KD49XF9005. I’ve perused the settings but can’t find anything to cover clock display. We were able to do this with old Sony Bravia via the remote. The click then stayed on, even while watching Sky. 

Can I assume not possible due to higher resolution with more recent smart TVs?

I suspect it has nothing to do with higher resolution, but OLED TVs because they use the same software as your LCD/LED TV. If a clock was permanently displayed, it would would burn itself into the screen.

Why not buy a cheap clock and place it next to the TV. I have an Amazon Echo Clock above my TV, it displays a timer which I use as a cooking countdown and time.

Thanks for explaining. The “old Bravia” was about 2008 I think. No burn out in that scenario then?
