Hi

I am getting a camera error whenever trying to tap video shoot button.

How to get rid of this error?

i have the same error while using snapchat camera to record videos... always have to restart my device.

Had the same error that camera is being used in another app. 

Disabled 'Ok, Google' -> from any screen and everything worked out. Camera shoots video. 

But the reasonable question is WHY I cannot at the same time use 'Ok, Google' and shoot videos???

You can shoot video and still have OK Google detection from any screen enabled if you use a third party camera app. to shoot video. Hopefully Sony will fix this in their next update.

In my Sony Xperia c4 dual camera error generated. When I start camera application it's shows msg that Camera may be use in another application, close it and try again.
But there is no application running.
Plz help out to solve this problem.

Hi @Parth7, welcome to our forums!

I'm sorry to hear about this.

To make sure that a third party application isn't using the camera in the phone and that is why you receive this message, I would recommend that reboot your phone in safe mode. While the phone is rebooted to safe mode, start the camera application as normal and see if you receive the same message.

If you receive the same message while the phone is rebooted to safe mode, try clearing the application data for the camera app, this will not remove any videos or photos, it will however remove any settings you have done in the app.

To do that, go to Settings > Apps > Camera > Storage > Clear data.

I have the same problem since i got my cellphone (xperia c4), i was looking for information for like 2 months, i just got here right now, i tried to do all you said but nothing is working, i cant record videos in snapchat and i cant join the camera from facebook stories more than 5 seconds, after that it freezes and i have to restart my phone
