DCR-DVD7 - how to replace the LCD screen?

I have a DCR-DVD7 Handycam with a cracked LCD touch screen. I also have a replacement LCD screen, but I am finding it difficult to swap over. The problem is that I cannot open the rear cover enough to be able to undo all the necessary screws. Does anyone know what I need to do to be able to replace the screen? Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Did you find out how to do this ? I took video footage to show dismantling this model but haven't uploaded an edited demo yet; could do that if you still want to continue ?
