I recently purchased an AX53 and have noticed a glitch in a couple of video files recorded in AVCHD mode. See the inserted screenshot:
For 2-3 frames the subject almost disappears. I do not know what has caused this. The funny thing is that the glitch does not appear when playing back through the camera, only when I watch the file once transferred to my computer. I have transferred it using Sony PlayMemories software and directly by copying and pasting the file from the camera to the computer. I have also tried transferring it and playing it on two different computers and the same problem occurs. Any advice or suggestions of how I can access the glitch-free file as it appears when I play through the camera?
Hello @Paul_B, firstly, make sure that your camera is running on the latest software version: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/memory-camcorders-fdr-ax-series/fdr-ax53/downloads/Z00053... & https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/memory-camcorders-fdr-ax-series/fdr-ax53/downloads/Z00053...
You can also try resetting the camera settings (menu - setup- general settings - initialize)
Hope it works
