Using HDRTG3E with imac??????

I'm really struggling to download HD content from the HDRTG3E to my imac using imovie or iphoto (both at their latest releases) via the USB cable - can anyone help please!

I'm not sure what you have tried but have a look at the Sony Tutorial here: -

Thanks but I've tried all that!

I get the "untitled" file showing on the imac but all the content is unreadable to imovie. Although the cam says it is connected, the imovie application can see any cam connection. The apple help suggests connecting via the firewire rather than the USB but this cam doesnt allow for a firewire connection?

So unfortunately I'm totally lost with this one - thanks again for the help
