I have recently paid a lot of money for a Sony RX10 M4 camera. The camera is fine. But I continue to experience problems using the atrocious Imaging Edge Software to transfer photos from the camera to my Pixel6a phone running Android 14. The camera appears in the connected cameras panel (I have successfully scanned the QR code). 99% of the time the camera does not connect. It has connected 4 times so the connection sometimes works. I send bug reports as requested although whether anyone is reviewing these I doubt. There is no means of contacting the developers via the email address on the playstore appstore. Any emails are bounced. Support appears non existent. The playstore review section seems to consist of hundreds of disgruntled users.
I want to know what Sony are doing to address this issue having shelled out ££££££s to you. I expected better.
@Nigelar99 Yes, the Creator's cloud app is also accessible from smartphones or tablets, you can learn more about the app and how to use it here: https://helpguide.sony.net/di-app/ccw/v1/en/index.html
Agreed. According to the App FAQ, only the following cameras are listed as supported. It says for everything else use the useless IEM
Supported Cameras
FX3*, FX30*, α1 II, α1*, α9 III, α7R V*, α7S III*, α7 IV*, α7CR, α7C II, α6700, ZV-E1, ZV-E10 II, ZV-1 II, ZV-1F, ILX-LR1
For info, I've had a little more success using the NFC file transfer function compared to wi fi.
@Bigdave Alternatively, you can transfer the images to your PC or Laptop using the card reader then send it to your phone.
@Bigdave I understand your point. I recommend reaching out to Sony directly to investigate the Imaging edge issue.
You might have noticed from my earlier posts that I have tried to contact the Creators Cloud/IEM team at the support email address on their web page several times.
They simply haven't replied which I consider a poor show.
Emails sent to the support email address for the IEM app on the play store bounce back.
I think a quick browse of the user comments on the IEM app on play store should give you a pretty good indication of customer feedback on the app. Despite this Sony seem to have totally failed to address the issues (or can't be bothered).
For those of us who have spent a lot of money on a Sony product this is incredibly disappointing.
