HCD-HX80R Random USB port

My HX80R may or may not read USB sticks depended on its MOOD. It's not a formatting problem. It will read & play MP3s from a stick all day. Insert the stick tomorrow it will display 'No device'.

There is no rhyme or reason in its decision to work (or not).
Any ideas?

Hi @SurtseyAna, does it do the same thing with different USB sticks as well? The USB could be covered in dust, make sure to clean it with a dry piece of clothing and try again. Also, it states in page 28 in the link below that, reading time can take longer time when there are many folders on the USB:
