Hi,
This is my first post here and I need some assistance.
I have just acquired the above surround sound/home theatre system to replace an older system in our property.
The problem is not so much with the system itself but getting it connected using existing wiring...
The old system has speaker wires chased into walls / ceiling / floorboard space which I really need to re-use.
this wiring is bare wire as per the old "paddle" style terminal connectors that you used to get on all 5.1 systems.
the BDV-E4100 comes with a specific terminal connector and the wires hardwired into the speakers.
I assume (and am fairly certain if I cut the terminals and joint the wires, I will void any warranty.
instead I am looking to find male and female terminal connectors to effectively make the old wiring act like speaker wire extension cables for want of a better term.
Problem is.
1) I have no idea what these connectors are called
2) I have no idea where to start looking to purchase them
Based in the UK.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance.
Hi EA1983,
Maybe our spare part supplier EET Europarts can help.
I would suggest to call them: +44 (0) 333 241 9271
Cheers
