Sony HT-ST 5000

So just felt the need to have a rant at the useless customer service from Sony. Having spent £1000 on a premium soundbar, it develops a faulty driver a few months outside of warranty. Having tried numerous times to find an authorised Sony repairer, I finally land on one that is still trading only to be told "unfortunately the part is not available at all". This is a soundbar that you can still purchase today and Sony do not stock parts to repair it! Sony won't offer a replacement or repair. So £1000 wasted and won't be touching another Sony product!

As long as you're prepared to pay for it, Sony should be able to provide a solution. So get in touch with support and let them know about this.

After three months of exchanges with Sony their answer is to pay me £250 and return the faulty soundbar to an authorised dealer 50 miles away at my own cost. They won't replace or repair which is what I asked for. Luckily I realised that my purchase was by Mastercard so will go under CCA instead to get my money back. Just need to go to the hassle of getting an independent report now.
