Sony HT-X8500 Soundbar issue with TV Apps

I’ve got the HT-X8500 connected via eARC to a Sony 43XH8505. I’ve had no issues apart from when using an app such as Netflix or BritBox through the TV, occasionally the sound through the Soundbar totally breaks up and is inaudible and I have to turn off the Soundbar and back on for it to work again.

Has anyone experienced this or know how to solve? Thanks.

I recommend making sure you're running the latest firmware for both the TV and Sound bar and to try a different cable.

 

How often does the issue happen? Does it seem to happen when a certain audio format is being streamed or completely randomly?

It happens quite frequently and on any audio format that I am playing through the sound bar. I have the latest software updates installed.

Perhaps try a different cable? If possible, test the sound bar with another TV or the other way around to find out which part is causing the problem.
