Sony UBP-X800 USB device compatibility

I have tried to attach a LaCie 2TB Mobile Drive to the Sony UBP-X800 and it does not recognise it.

I cannot find anything in the instructions that state that certain drives are not accepted.

I have reformatted the drive and it is now working perfectly.
