Isn't there the new version of the great reciever STR-DN series this year?

Unfortunately we don't normally get official confirmation of upcoming new products until they are released, however we do often hear rumours among the community – maybe one of our regular contributors have heard something?

I really hope so, i will like an upgrade, and the last 2 years models has come with some exciting feutures, so i will really look forward to see what comes next, and maybe i will buy the new one if it comes soon.

I understand they won't annouce it for next week (or an exact date), but are there more moments this year next to CES where products are annouced?

Yes I want hdmi 2.1 with VRR, 8k and dynamic HDR ready for PS5. 
My str-dn1030 is on it’s last legs. The network features no longer work, it buzzes when on as the mosfets are worn out and the centre channel has now started with strange tweeter artifacts, over pronounces the letter S in dialogue. Very annoying! 
cant buy the 1080 now since we are so close to hdmi 2.1. 
please give me some good news

The 1080 has pretty good specs...in 2017! Meanwhile, video decoding and standard improved a lot. When will we have a top notch receiver from Sony again?
