Okay I have several complicated issues now. At first, both my cellphone and when I connected it through PC, the PC Companion and my cell would both tell me that I have an update, so I went in and completed the first step by downloading the software update, but in the second step, I was stuck doing the step-by-step, I repeated every step but still nothing. For some reason, my cell went into safe mode, but no downloads were shown on both cell and PC Companion. Now, the PC Companion tells me that my cell is updated to the latest but not my cell, it's like as if I completed a part of it? Because of this, I don't know how to download it and try again. My build number changed to 6.1.1.B1.54. Is that supposed to be right? Does anyone know the answers to all of this? Thanks!

I've downloaded the update service, and I am still stuck in the step-by-step part, I can see the 5 second video, and it still doesn't do anything. Is my cell supposed to turn on automatically? All it does is my cell shows the Sony logo and then the battery sign charged full and then the screen is black just as usual. Does the phone have to be completely turned off or on stand by? I know it's completely turning off, but I've tried both ways and still nothing. I appreciate for the help, though! Thank you!
with SUS the phone has to be off, run SUS > follow the steps > press and hold volume down THEN connect the usb cable while still holding the volume key.
Sorry, still nothing, on both programs, they didn't work. I even tried changing computers, but that's the same result. It's funny because whenever I plug it in my PC, it will read fine, and it will know when I connected it but once that step-by-step comes in, that part never works. Could there be a way to download it without the usage of a computer? Just like any other updates? If I were to make it factory data reset, will that still make me use a computer for the latest update?
the only other alternative is flashtool but this could void your warranty
The next morning, I decided to try again, and finally it worked!!! I was so relieved.
Now, at first, I did the same thing as yesterday and it was the same result, but I changed my Windows Firewall to Off, and the step-bystep was a success, I'm not entirely sure if the firewall was the cause, but that was the only change I've made. I know normally, I've updated a lot of softwares with firewall On but not this case. Thanks a lot for the help though, they did help!
