Help with update/bricking?

When updating my phone (sony Xperia S (LT26i)) using Sony PC companion my phone disconnected, as in my computer stopped reconising it. Upon trying again instead of updating it showed a white triangle with an exclimation mark beside a phone on the screen, I can only assume that it has bricked. I see a lot of other people have had issues with connecting to the PC with this phone and it is probably due to the power it needs and the power a usb cable can transfer or something.

But anyway I was wondering if there was anything I can do about this instead of taking it to a local phone servicer which wont be open untill after the weekend.

I am in New Zealand my phone serial is CB511XDJDE

One  thing i forgot

Use this to shutdown your device

Press and hold Power Button and Volume Up button at the same time

5 Seconds > Restart Phone

10 Seconds > Shutdown Phone

Whenever You mobile shuts off completely then use SUS

SUS needs your device to be switched off

SUS ( Sony Update Service)  ... download and install it on pc and follow the on-screen instructions http://www-support-downloads.sonymobile.com/Software%20Downloads/Update_Service_Setup-2.11.12.5.exe

                  or

http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/update-service/

Both the links are same

Thank you, but I have tried this and it doesn't work for me. Will try again though.

Maybe if I mention my phone will not start up at all >_<<br/>Like it displays the sony logo then an error looking picture.

Thank you, I think it has solved the problem, It didnt want to do it on my PC and tried on laptop and it worked... after a while at least.

Im sure that has something to do with the power output of the usb slots
