ICS update for Live with Walkman query

I read the Sony site update : (updates for the Walkman Live will roll out from next week ,, KUDOS Guys)

http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/software/upgrade-to-android-4/

After reading and watching the videos i got a couple of queries :

1) Do we have to remove the external SD before and during the update ; will all my lose all data from my externinal SD after the update ?

2) The video says that some of the services like ANT Radio and Facebook inside xperia (and many more) will be disabled initially and we would able to power these up manually ; Are these services and apps already inside the phone's memory or we would require a wireless connection/ 3G / 4G data connection to download these apps

Rikigusma, both the galleries are good ... the android gallery loads a bit faster and is quite attractive, offers more function than the Xperia Gallery Slightly_smiling_Face

1--- yes, all will work. However if you want to have a better experience with ICS, you must format your SD card and factory data reset your phone before installing ICS on your phone, after installing ICS once, again reinstall ics using pc companion

This will ensure clear installation

2--- Not until you root

3--- Depeneds on the app, it may or may not work

4--- that you and other users will decide once you upgrade

5--- it depends on the region, you may or may not ge it

1) No need to remove yur SD card and yo won't loose any data

2) These apps are there within the phone memory, but disabled

@ Rikigusma : sry bro i haven't tried the ICS now , however most of the smartphones (low end) will receive the same firmware (a little tweaks for walkman family) , just follow the link in the question.

However if you ask about gallery then i would like to put this into notice that sumtimes if you deleted a certain media file using a file explorer then the gallery kept the media thumbnails. This bug is going to be fixed with the update.

@ Moderator :

1) So the apps installed on external SD would work post upgrade ?

2) Those apps inside xperia will eat up my internal memory , is there a method to uninstall those really creepy apps ?

3) Will the apps designed for Honeycomb work on the ICS paltform ?

4) On the scale of ten how worthy will be the update , i am pretty happy with the Gingerbread ROM which came preinstalled ?

5) Will the ICS update come with a preinstalled file explorer , coz there was none in the previous iteration of the software ?

This thread should show the SI numbers for Live with Walkman, but there is still nothing today (01.06.12). I hope there'll be something soon...

Its been a week since the update launch was announced by the Sony officials , why is that everything comes late with Sony People .. tommorow is Sunday and even if Sony doesn't come up with a suitable explanation for this (Trust me removing bugs, reducing lags and every other answer wouldn't be convincing enough)
