As soon as the HDMI cable touches the phones HDMI port, the phone starts opening applications on its own and its like the screen is constantly being touched
The phone is Xperia Neo MT15i and the phone is currently running Android 4.0.4 (the issue existed on Gingerbread too) plus I have also tried the service tests but it didn't help, I did disable the CEC option and LiveWare options too but nothing seems to resolve the issue.
I have a Samsung LCD TV 32" LA32D451, the LCD does have HDMI CEC though I have tried connecting with and without the option being enabled. Still no use.
Please reply ASAP I bought the phone especially to play games on the big screen :'(

It's probably the touch screen acting up because of the ground is not proper, coming from the TV.
If you try to connect to another TV somewhere else I don't think that you will have this problem.
What you can do to check this is to disconnect any other equipment connected to your TV and try again. If this still happens it's most likely due to not proper ground coming from your wall socket.
i have seen what you saying with incompatible chargers, so i guess your caple is incompatible, try another caple that works.

Ok, I am on it. I will be working on both the suggestions and provide the feedback as soon as possible.
Thank you
Thank you very much Mr. Johan
I disconnected my Set Top Box and connected my phone. It worked, no glitches and no automatic working.
