5.1 via optical on KDL46W905?
When I watch Lovefilm/Netflix through the TV, how do I get digital 5.1 sound through the optical output to my amp? Is it possible as at the moment I'm only getting stereo/Dolby Prologic.

On My KDL43W653A I used the composite cable Audi Out on the TV to the input Analog L R on my Theatre Stand together with the HDMI link
Remembering to alter the Audio output from the Sound menu on the TV.
The Optical cable would not give 5.1
Works perfectly .

Unfortunately normally any Tv set output only 2.0 signal even on optical connection. So the only way to have 5.1 is if you have the source directly connected to the amp (i.e a bluray via hdmi)

Have you tried setting "Digital Audio Out" to "Auto" and NOT "PCM" as per instructions below?

Thanks for the replies. It's set to auto but no joy. I think I'll have to use the BDPS5100 for Netflix/Lovefilm. Pretty sure the optical will only give out 2.0.
