Have just realised that this one does not switch as I wanted one with the remote to save getting up and changing manually.

Hi @muffin1947. Sorry you are on your own with this one. You certainly need a switch and not a splitter that has 1 input and 4 outputs. You need 4 inputs and 1 output.

My wife has decided it would be nice to have a soundbar since we visited our son and she saw his new TV and Sound Bar.I went to Currys PC World yesterday but there are so many and so confusing.I would be happy to pay about £100 but not sure of the set up procedure. Some said bluetooth some said wireless but the salesman suggested that using a optical cable was best.I did read that it was better to connect them using a HDMI lead plugged into the HDMI 1 socket on the TV and into the HDMI  socket on the sound bar.My HDMI socket is marked up as (ARC 1 ).The TV is a Sony KDL-42W653A.Would it just be a question of plugging in the HDMI lead and it would be ready to go.Thanks
