Computer into hdmi not full screen (black bars all round)

I have managed to connect my computer with a dvi - hdmi conveter into hdmi (4) on my kdl32ex403

The output of the computer is 1920 X 1080 but it does not fill the entire screen, leaving black bars all round.

How can I adjust this so that I get full screen?

If you are using an ATI graphics card in CCC you may need to reduce overscan from 15% to 0, this will eliminate the border.
