How do I reset my TV?

I don't have sound to my new TV and I want to reset it .I followed the instructions and I couldn't reset it. Is something that I don't understand."While holding down on the remote control,press POWER on the TV.The TV will turn itself off than back on again(which did not)(no way) Release the arrow than" Were did I do wrong?

There is also a factory reset option in the settings menu as well if you press home and then browse to the left hand column...

Ok, Catmambo is right and I will just specified it

manu-settings-system settings-general set up-factory reset

If TV ever ask for code after reset, so You can always use 9999
