Can ANYBODY advise what is the problem with my TV: diagnostic lamp blinks red 2 times every 3 seconds

and how much repair may cost ?

Local "pros" advises to pay delivery costs (some 50 bucks), thereafter they will check what goes wrong and

will be able to advise repair costs !

I "love" my SONY at the age of 5 years having already been repaired once and this is its second time !?!

It is selfdiagnose, mate. You do not have to vorry. See, indicator lamp can start to blinks several time becouse TV find something to diagnostic, like for example overvoltage in power supply. Just contact authorised service, thay will chack it out and solve issue.

About coast of repair You will be informed there, after diagnostic. It should not coat a world. Courage.
