Sony Bravia KDL-37W5810 Very loud sound and black screen

Hi, I hope someone can help.

My Sony Bravia is just over 3 years old and suddenly when I switch it on (using the button on the side, not standby) it remains with a black screen but very very loud sound. It can't be turned down, or switched off using any of the remote buttons or the buttons on the side of the screen. The only way to turn it off is to unplug it.

One day it was fine, the next it was doing the above. Help please.

That doesnt sound good at all.  Unfortuately I dont believe this forum can help you, as it appears to be more of a hardware fault.  You would probably be best to contact your nearest authorised Sony Repair Centre : HERE

Thank you everyone who replied, I will talk to Sony direct. I just wanted to know if anyone else had encountered the problem.
