Have just set up my TV and connected to the internet, have been trying to access "You Tube" but when it asks for me to put in my user name and password I don't know how to as the remote does not appear to work. I have tried typing using the number/alphabet keypad but it does not register on the screen. What am I doing wrong?

Apologies if you've done this but have you tried pressing and holding the 'select' button (in the centre of the directional key on the remote)? Hold it for about a second with the text field highlighted and the text input dialogue should then appear... You can then use the alphanumerics on the remote like writing a text message on a phone, or scroll around to select the letters and numbers you want.
Thank you so much, I could not find this anywhere in the i manual. Thank you again.

Did you have any problem with the Youtube application recognising/accepting your username or password? I cannot get it to accept mine at all, despite trying to log in with my username or googlemail name and password (or PIN as Sony calls it)?
No I didn't have any problems once I could find the numerics, I highlighted the username put in mine then the password and it went straight to my account. I'm very impressed with the internet connection on this TV, "i player" is seamless as is "you tube", I resisted buying the overpriced dongle and hooked it up with cat 5 cable direct to my router.

Thanks, I did a refresh of my internet settings and it all works a treat now. Cheers.
