Is PCV-RZ221 really dual processor?
My Vaio RZ221 reports through all of the Windows system information tools and TaskManager that it has dual CPUs, but I've never seen it reported anywhere in the sales blurb that I was getting a dual processor machine.
Does everyone's machine report the same or have I somehow got Windows XP rather confused?
cheers...

It definately doesn't have two processors - I fear you have confused XP

Only home-made PCs seem to have dual CPUs, though some servers do, but they're expensive.

Thanks for the prompt replies guys...
I followed clues from the BIOS messages, and did a search on Hyper Threading. Turns out the Intel processor itself has two logical processors inside one physical chip.

I never thought of that - thanks for letting us know. I haven't used an HT computer yet although I do have a very nice dual Xeon at work to play with
