thanks for the info. But as yet i am still waiting. someone this morning said that they will call back with the code i need but as of yet, had nothing. i have updated my post on the case. I cant beleive it is taking this long to resolve!

Did you phone Vaio support and ask for the BIOS unlock code, because as far as I'm aware the code can be issued quite quickly.?
