XP Drivers for VGN-FZ21Z

Is there any way to get XP drivers for the FZ21Z (German Model)?

I have asked Sony many times but all they told me is that Sony will not come out with XP drivers! This is just rediculous! Microsoft have been giving OEM manufacturers the options to downgrade to XP. I think it is Sony that does not want its customers to downgrade to XP. Vista always crash on my FZ21Z and there is nothing that they can do about it. They are trying to point the blame on Microsoft.

drivers here work : "(¯`*..¸XP drivers FZ21Z compatible¸..*´¯)"

only video drivers are not inclued but ....

download and install this driver : (¯`*..¸Geforce portable¸..*´¯)
( clic on "driver" on the left )


Your XP install cd must have sata drivers

I also found this free program to add sata drivers to a windows xp install cd.

My USB floppy did not work, but the above did.

fn doesn't work for the moment. only mute key works.

I've installed XP on my VGN-FZ21Z laptop too.

I've got an issue when I leave the laptop idle for 30mins the screen goes almost black but the system is still operational.
No matter what I do I can't get the screen to recover unless I put it in and out of standby mode.

Is there are way to stop the screen going blank when idle?

(the screen saver is set to none and the HD,monitor etc... are set to always on)
