Android 6: difference between Xperia and Google 'backup and restore'

Hello, I have just updated my tablet z4 to Marshmallow and found under settings/backup and restore both Xperia and Google versions of the service.

- What are the differences between them?

- Should I keep them both activated?

Xperia backup- back ups phone settings, home screen layouts, msgs etc that is on your device,

Google backup - includes app data, essentially anything that your google account is connected to in your device.

i use both , redundancy is better in back ups.
