4k Video Recording

Hi folks,

I just figured out that it is possible to do a 4k video recording with the Sony Xperia X. I am using the free and open source app called Open Camera. These are the settings I made:

- average bitrate: 100Mbps

- framerate: 30 frames/second

- Highest, 4K Ultra HD, 3820x2160 resolution

Just great, awesome! One question left: Why is this not possible with the built-in software?

I guess so they can't be blamed when the phone overheats when using 4k, since it is now handled by 3rd party apps..
