Quick Charging Bug

I had drained my battery to 6% yesterday. Normally my Z5 takes 2 hours to fully charge on my UCH10 charger but yesterday it took 8hours... I had to leave it overnight... Tried restarting it 2 times but same charging rate. Today after restarting it randomly during the day its back to the same 2 hour quick charging. Donno if this is a bug or what??? Hopefully someone can help.

@Ryan2528 By any chance was the phone really hot during the process? If it was, the current is drastically reduced to protect the battery and components.

@alexdon phone was not hot at all... Left it for charging and checked after 2 hours to find that it was charging very slowly... Very strange.... First time this has happened

@Ryan2528 In this case, the charging port might have had some dirt or lint in it and, as it is sensitive, might slow down the process.

@Ryan2528 @alexdon was your phone still switched on whilst charging.....are you running the build number .224.....if so i'm wondering if it was actually discharging at a faster rate than charging

@dandy i tried charging it while switched off and got the same rate.. Yes it is. 224... How do i report it cause it might be a bug... Cause the quick charging works now but it shows an absurd amount of estimated battery life like 66hours

@Ryan2528 i would just monitor the phone for a week to see if the charging settles down, could well have been what @alexdon said re dirt, not seen 66hrs as an estimate before, have just charged my Z5 & estimate is 49hrs......but it's only an estimate without using the phone so dont worry about that, if you check it again later after some use it will have gone down :smileysmileywink:

Never seen this kind of estimation on a Z5 or Z5c. You could also get in touch with your Local support.

@alexdon @dandy63 posted screenshots.... today it showed 127 hours estimated on 100% Battery. Quickcharging still working though...

@Ryan2528 That is just battery backup estimation and not charging time. You can reset that counter if you go to settings - apps, tap on 3 dots and show system. Look for stamina, force stop and clear data. Restart the device.
