Android Auto

Looking to get this phone for family member who had car radio that supports mirror link and android auto, I know this phone does not have mirrrorlink but should support android auto, has anyone tried it?,

Basicly want to use phones google maps as sat nav and display on cars radio screen, I have tried mirrorlink via my Z2 but I have not upgraded my Z2 from stock 4.4.4 that it came with and need 5.01 or higher for android auto.

This is meant as an enquirer for the Xperia E5 phone, I am looking to purchase one for family member who needs new phone, they don't need anything high end and E5 fits the bill, unless there is a £150 ish Sony phone which supports mirrorlink which as far as I can tell is a no. Android Auto is the other option but was wondering if anyone tried it with E5 Thanks

Hi @Chanfron, the topic is back at the E5 board now. Sorry about the confusion.

According to Google's help site for Android Auto the requirement is that the phone is running Android 5 or later which means it should work with Xperia E5. I can unfortunately not verify that the app is downloadable on the E5 though, due to Android Auto not been available in the region that I am located in.
