Bluetooth audio

Bluetooth audio

Upgraded to 6.0.1 yesterday evening and I've discovered that Bluetooth audio when playing music begins to become extremely unstable after 10 mins. Stuttering and having around 1-2 seconds of audio/video syncing issues. Prior to updating on Lollipop it had very slight syncing issues, but now it has become a lot more apparent. I've turned off battery optimisations for Google Music thinking that may solve it but hadn't made a difference.
Wondering if anyone has solved this issue with changing a few settings around or if Sony are aware of this and working on a solution?

Was not able to find solution there either. I think the stuttering is happening when the device is in deep sleep mode. . To enhance batterry life the phone is trying to close all working applications in background including bluetooth. I am considering downgrade now :C

Hello everyone,
Since Last Android update (marshmallow 6.0.1), i have some issues with Bluetooth.
I already had a plantronics headset which worked extremly fine with my Z3C, car take calls and listening multimedia.
This headset have died in a washing machine.
Have bought another one (plantronics again) and i have been extremly disappointed because knowing disconnection when pairing with my phone.
But now, after several test, i know it's not my headset but my Z3C Who have issue.
Can't be connected to a Bluetooth equipment without knowing disrupting connection.
Equipment tested :
- plantronics m70 headset
- Jbl charge 2+
- Bt audio in a Mercedes car

This is annoying. I have Android 5.1.1 and my Jaybird Freedom 4 was working fine until a little while ago; then it wouldn't stay connected.  I thought the headset was dead so I bought a new Jaybird X2.  Now I find that the connection turns to crap after a few minutes of use with the new headset. I've also noticed other connections such as in my car drop out. Ive also found my old headset still works ok with my old iPhone4.  I'm sure it's a problem with the Sony xperia Z3 compact bluetooth.

Come on Sony. FIX IT

Just a little update, USB firmware reflash/repair with official sony tool completely fixed the BT issue for me on z3c.

Don't know if it makes any difference but I didn't restore anything from google backup after flashing.

Everything now works as it should, phone is very stable and battery life is great.

Unfortunatelly flash/repair didn't fix issue it just made it little better.

Audio still very often cutting out on both Jawbone and Plantronics BT headphones.

After recently receiving an OTA update to build number 23.5.A.1.291 my bluetooth issues seem to of all been resolved. Hopefully it sorts it out for everyone else too 👍
