Cannot make or receive a call after the Marshmallow update

Hi all,

I have an Xperia Z3. After I updated to the latest Android OS, I cannot make nor receive any calls on my phone. Same goes for my friend, who has an Xperia Z2. I tried restarting the phone but it doesnt work. Currently backing up my phone in case it needs to be reset. Please help, thank you.

Do you get an error? 

settings > more > mobile networks > are you able to find your network?

if I make a call, it immediately says "Call Ended"

I believe I have no issue with my network because I can send and receive text messages, and even use my mobile data on LTE.

Ok, I disable lte network solve the problem. I think similar to elsewhere in another forum said... The voice over lte which might not be supported on this phone is causing the problem.

With more try n error, I found out that it is indeed due to the lte.
The default preferred network type after the upgrade is lte only. This z2 can't really do lte voice. So it can't call out if told lte only. Change the preferred to be lte (preferred)/wcdma/GSM is back to how my phone used to be. On idle, it's lte whenever possible. On call, it switch away from lte
