Certain apps not responding to touch screen

Hi.

I just bought a Z4 tablet, upgrading from a Tablet Z (with Lollipop). Certain apps are not working correctly on my Z4 that did on my Z.

Those are 3 concrete examples:

- Kodi https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.xbmc.kodi

- Assassin's Creed Pirates: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ubisoft.assassin.pirates

- Greed Corp HD: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Invictus.GreedCorpPaid

All those three apps work normaly on my Xperia Z tablet with Lollipop and my Z2 phone with Lollipop. This is why I believe this is an issue with the Z4 tablet and not the apps themeselves.

I have tried one full rest of my Z4 tablet when I first encountered the bug, but the results are the same.

Right now I have only expereienced the problem on non critical apps, but I am afraid that if this is a tablet bug, that I might encounter it on a more important app in the future.

That could be a compatibility issue, perhaps you could contact the game apps developers.

I am having the same issue with assassin's creed pirates. I will try the other apps, seems like a compatability issue...

I have the same problem with greed corp but can't seem to install kodi (says the app isn't compatible with my device).

Unfortunately, there's not much Sony can do. As you point out it says the app isn't compatible with your device. It's best to contact the developer, as that's not a Sony issue.

I'm having the same problem with chaos rings 3, it's very disappointing to not being able to play premium games...

Have Sony change anything relating to the touchscreen because all the apps I have an issue (and so far there are a few) regarding non response when trying to play worked without fail on my z2. If this continues there would no reason for me to have the Z4 and I will have wasted good money

Could you try boot your device on Safe mode and see what happens:

I took your advice and rebooted in safe mode but when the tablet launched the apps that I was having the problem with where not showing on the screen so I looked up the apps on play and they were there but I was only allowed to uninstall them so I am really confused 😕 now. How is it possible that all the apps and games that worked on my z2 perfectly and yet not on Z4?

What has changed that would affect these apps and games because I am pulling my hair out. All I wanted to do is upgrade and take advantage of the mostly excellent upgrades in the Z4 but instead of enjoying the experience I am frankly peed of. Please please tell me that you can help before I have a bigger headache than the one I have now. Regards, John at 02.37 am
