Certain apps not responding to touch screen

Hi.

I just bought a Z4 tablet, upgrading from a Tablet Z (with Lollipop). Certain apps are not working correctly on my Z4 that did on my Z.

Those are 3 concrete examples:

- Kodi https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.xbmc.kodi

- Assassin's Creed Pirates: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ubisoft.assassin.pirates

- Greed Corp HD: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Invictus.GreedCorpPaid

All those three apps work normaly on my Xperia Z tablet with Lollipop and my Z2 phone with Lollipop. This is why I believe this is an issue with the Z4 tablet and not the apps themeselves.

I have tried one full rest of my Z4 tablet when I first encountered the bug, but the results are the same.

Right now I have only expereienced the problem on non critical apps, but I am afraid that if this is a tablet bug, that I might encounter it on a more important app in the future.

Thanks.

I tried booting into safe mode as well, but the apps disappear.

I've got same issue here.

I'm going to add this apps to the list:

Chaos Ring 3 https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.square_enix.chaosrings3gp&hl=en&referrer=utm_sourc...

It's the same issues with xperia M2 on this post

and they still got no replies until now.

Hi @jbi

You can only uninstall the apps because they're already installed and your device was rebooted in safe mode. Which version of Android are you running ?

@olafvs @Idas

Which version of Android are you also running ?

Hi @olafvs

When you boot in safe mode, only default apps that comes with the device will appear. Booting into safe mode will let you check if any third party applications might be involved in the problem you’re having. If you run your phone in safe mode for a while and you don’t experience any problem, the problem you’re having is most likely related to a third party app that you’ve installed.

If the problem persists, I´d first run a backup of the device information like this:

http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/Backup-amp-Transfer/m-p/407253#U407253

And then try performing a system repair using PC Companion:

http://support.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/

This will factory reset your phone and erase all data. You might need tocharge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 80% battery. Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device). Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process. If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP.

I hope can be useful and I'm at disposal for any question.

Best Regards,
