Full camera res in third party apps?

How do I use the full camera resolution in non-sony apps?

They all list the max resolution as 8mp instead of 23

Ive tried several apps including 'manual camera' and google camera and generic phone info apps.

They all list the max res as 8MP

Camera FV (paid version) allows me full resolution on my Z3

I think you need to ask the app developer to include this option.

I have to ask every third-party app developer to support the resolution of the camera?

The phone is reporting the resolution to apps as only 8MP. It looks like the sony camera app is using a undocumented private api to acces the full resolution.

Yes you have to contact the app/camera developer.

Wrong, several app devs have confirmed on various sites (google playstore review answers, reddit, forums, etc.) that the issue with using full resoulution in 3rd party apps is on Sony's end. They have tried to bypass it but no way to increase or add more then 8mpx choices.
