Headset problem

I just got my new bose headset and everytime i use it on my xperia M , the headset doesn't get detected and not producing any sound at all but when I try it on other devices the headset works properly.. Any help or advice??

That's probably a compatibility issue

So my only option is to buy the adapter 1249-0456 EC250 to convert to OMTP ?
