Light effects not working

Hi, I have just updated the software on my Sony SP and the light effects won't work properly, I.e. When I have an unread text message, it flashes briefly, but doesn't stay illuminated. Anyone know how to fix this?

You must use 3rd party apps

 I use illumination bar and it provides good control over illumination bar

The blink ratio of a SMS received or a text on Whatsapp is different over illumination bar. This doesn't mean there is any problem.

Thanks for your replies. But I am still confused. Before the update, if I received a Text message the illumination bar would stay blue until I read the message. It never illuminated for whatsapp app

@tj on older firmware by receiveing sms led bar start to glow in glow out by fully brighen bar if stamania was on...if stamania is off lights works just like now

All of us face that...its update issue..

And if you want to receive light for all notification you must turn stamania mode off...but then lights just blink untile you turn the screen on...by 3rd party apps you can have that old beauty led bar and receive light for other apps even stamania is on or off

So to clarify, the stamina mode stops the illumination bar from staying on, but a 3rd party app will override this?

@Danial-mach1 mine just works fine even if stamina mode is on,and for my phone it's always on.

I'm the same. I have stamina mode on all the time and now it just briefly flashes once when a text come in for example and does blink again or stay illuminated and it definitely did before I updated the software last week
