Locate my device

Is it possible that if I lost my phone and the person that has find it remove the card, that would be the reason I can't locate it?

Sorry to hear that for MyXperia or Android Device Manager to work 

your phone has to be 

on

your gmail has to be on

WiFi or data has to be on

gps has to be on 

if any of the above is off then you won't be able to find it.
