Macro-Mode for barcode-scanning possible?

Hi there,

from what I read in this and other forums there is no way to decently do a barcode scan with the TIPO because of its camera quality.

I was able to work with the build-in NEO scanner on QR codes but it seems that most of the problem with a regular barcode comes from a blurry focus on a closeup rather than from a resolution problem.

Is there any way to establish some kind of macro mode for the built in camera? I had done way better macro pictures with older SONY handy cams, but they always had the possibilty for a macro mode. Is this purely a question of unlocking this feature?

And: is there an app around that unleashes this feature in the camera?

I'm not aware of any app for this unfortunately but I will pass on your feedback about this. But I can't promise any changes.

Is that build-in NEO scanner you mentioned working only on QR codes? I'm having a barcode reader on my tablet to read code 128  but at times it fails to scan. No idea if the resplution issue or something else.

Neo reader works,you have to capture the whole code.
