I bought Xperia C4 Dual one year ago but I feel very very disappointed when wasting money to buy this device.
Why?
- Touch screen problem: I have to go to local support center 2 times to fix this problem. Each time took at least 10 days. OMG.
- Then my phone sometimes suddently turn off without reasons, only red led. I have to charge phone to open but it takes at least 10 minutes to open while battery is full.
- My phone is not supported in the range of supported devices. It means that I cannot find any custom ROMs for my devices, I also cannot change Navigation bar (softkey) with themes from Developers, even the theme published by Sony Mobile.
- My phone is in list of devices will receive Android 6 but one year since Sony promised, there is no signal of this update although I bought this phone beacause of this promise (skip Android 5.1, go straight Android 6).
I have read a lot of feedback about these issues in Phonearea as well as tech forums/phone retailers in my country. People ask together that why Sony can sell an error product to their customers but support is too poor? You should know that I am a long-time user of using Sony Phone when your brand was Sony Ericsson.
I hope my thread won't be deleted for any reason?
Then my Question is about Updating Android 6 to fix some issues above. You just tell us: "You will release Android 6 for Xperia C4 and C5" or "not". (My brother use C5).
- If you release, then when?
- If you don't release. OK. We do not have to wait and We will find new solution.
Note: I do not need any answer from uliwooly or YoGem. I need AN OFFICIAL ANSWER from XEPRIA SUPPORT TEAM.
Thanks.

Hi @AndreaVin,
Welcome to the community.
I am sorry to hear about the issues you are facing with your Xperia device and apologise for the inconvenience that has been caused to you.
I do not have enough information about the touch screen issue to make an informed comment on it. For the power issue, try running a software repair and failing that, it will have to be looked at by a repair agent. Contact your local support team in that case.
As for the updates... it's tricky. Check your device here to see what the latest version is for your device, but keep in mind the following:
We are unable to confirm specific date for any particular firmware release due to the nature of the approval process. If there is a particular update you are wanting to update to, it may not be available for your exact handset.
As the updates are customised by multiple parties before being released, updates can become available for one handset before another handset, even if they are both the same model.
Once the update is customised by Sony it would then be passed on to your service provider to make any required adjustments for their network.
Please be aware that if your handset has originated outside your region this can also cause a delay in the release.
Once the software is ready to be downloaded on your unit, you will receive a notification on your phone advising of the option to update.
For further information regarding the approval process please see here.
