Once I have logged onto my phone the screen only, “stays alive” for a moment or 2.
This means I have to:-
Hit the button on the right hand side of the phone to bring the screen alive again (so that I can see the screen and not just a black screen).
Swipe what I think is the unlock key in the lower left hand corner of the screen.
I want to be able to work on the screen without it continually (and almost immediately) reverting to the black screen (in which I can do nothing).
How do I do this please?
I have a Sony Xperia phone.
Thanks in advance for any replies.
You need to tell us the model. At least post a screenshot of your settings so we know.

I don't know the model.
See discussion here (in part) about model:-

I’ve now been told it’s the Xperia E model.

This is what I believe I need:-
Home page
Tap the 16 box icon that appears at the bottom of the page in the middle.
Settings
Display
Sleep
Select an option
The problem with the above is that with my Xperia E model in:-
Settings
- there’s no:-
Display
- option.
Does anybody know where the:-
Display
- option is on my model?
Thanks in advance for any replies.
