Screen unresponsive

Hi,

I have a probelm, basically the screen becomes unresponsive. I can receive calls and notifications and the LED flashes but when I press the power button the screen does not come on.

Sometimes it is fine then all of a sudden it will do it the next time I go to check my phone and I don't know why!

Holding the power button and the volume up to reboot the phone fixes the problem but when this is happeneing 5 times a day it's not ideal to have to do that everytime!

Any one had the same issue recently?

Hi,

It seems fine in SAFE MODE but how can I be sure when I don't know what is causing the problem?

It happens at complete random times. I go to check my phone and the screen will light up, it may do this the next 2 / 3 times but then when I go to check it again it won't respond. I don't know if it's an app, or long usage, or what?!

Then the issue its an app acting up, you will have to check which app is it. how? by uninstalling one by one of the latest downloaded apps

Seems the last app I installed was Movie Creator, which is annoying as this is a Sony app right?

Anyway, I'll see if this fixes the problem and hopefully I can download it again in the future.

Yes,uli is right.Check the latest installed apps or antivirus,task killers etc.

Another way to do it is by repairing your phone with PCC

FIX: I think it started happening after updating the Album and Walkman. So I cleared the cache and force stopped both and the problems seems to have gone!

I'm going to run repair via sony bridge this evening as well just to see if that finds anything else.
