sms sim card memory full

Hi, I   have a vivaz vodafone with sim 128kb of tim, I wanted to know why after  20  sms I received the sms out "sms sim card memory full" and I have to   manually clear the sms but the problem is not resolved and I have the   desktop icon message that is flashing  continuously.

The sim is very large as  the old cell line had  more than 1200 sms.

How  can  you avoid this problem?

Hi Gaetano,

It sounds like the SMS messages may have been stored on the phone memory and not the SIM card, itself.  I see that in the settings, the default number of messages is 20.  Also, you can change the location of the message memory (Memory in use) from the memory card to the phone, and when you change the location, the phone asks if you want to copy all messages to the new message memory.

So, in Messaging select Options and then Settings.  In Settings, scroll down and tap Other.  This is where you will find the option to change the Number of saved messages (up to 999) and the Memory in use.

I have done all these settings but the problem is unresolved and the icon sms on your desktop that flashes ever.

Same problem on Vivaz Pro Vodafone with Wind sim card, I think it's a firmware problem and Martha's suggestion isn't helpful maybe because we're talking of receaved sms, not sent sms.

Waiting for some response.
