Update does not complete

G'day,

Been trying to update my Z3 through pc companion for days now. The new lollipop update. Everytime it gets stuck at 'preparing'. Any help would be highly appreciated.

Do you have Java installed and are you running a 64bit system or Win8

The problem is most likely 64bit which doesn't seem to like the Flashmode driver - Try running PCC in compatibility mode and choose another system or try and use a 32bit system - I'd recommend Windows 7 32bit

Tried compatibility mode and same result.

It's easy to say use another system, yes.

Im just very disappointed that my previous software update worked, and now this one bombs. Totally bummed by it.

Now i have to go and update my phone on some1 elses computer. great.

You could install another version of Windows on the same pc boot to that for updates.?

I'm running on win 7 32 bit but still have the same problem.

Is ther any solution for this? or i missed a step?

Download xperiafirm and download androxyde flash tool from github.Then flash the lollipop firmware for your device.That flash tool runs in either 32 bit or 64 bit
