Weather widget update location?

Hi

I like the weather widget that comes stock, however I cannot get it to change to my location automatically. I have to manually update the city.

Can I change this?

I've tried and no change. The weather updates, just not the location I'm currently at.

Any other suggestions? Thanks

try this

delete the widget, then settings > apps > all > weather > clear data > restart your phone 

re-add the widget > tap to configure > do NOT enter the city, click on use current location

Thanks I have done this. I will let you know if I have any problems, I won't be travelling until tomorrow.

I have the Z1 and I was able to recreate your issue, and that suggestion above solved the issue for me, let us know if it works out for you

Should I add the widget to stamina mode whitelist if possible? I don't see this being a problem though as I mentioned earlier, the temp and time refreshed update just not the location.

That could also be another issue, do add it to the whitelist

Doesn't seem to have fixed it. I still need to manually update location.

I'm sorry to hear that and you GPS its on and all those permisions are on too, turn off stamina mode and check again

At the moment, there is no support in the preinstalled weather widget to automatically update your location. You have to manually set your location.
